Do you have a draft of fiction and need help in the revision process? If you need honest feedback from somebody who knows their way around a peice of prose, you are in the right place.
Here you will find three levels and types of feedback available from alpha and beta reading to developmental editing.

Alpha Reading

Free
For your rough to first draft. I will read your piece of fiction and give you overall feedback on big picture elements.
Beta Reading

Free
For that piece you have revised and need new eyes on it to see what you are blind to as it’s creator who knows the ins and outs of the story and characters.
I will go through your draft leaving feedback in the form of comments along the way, at the end of each chapter and in a beta reading report.
Developmental Editing

$0.01 CAD per word
For that novella you’ve been wanting to self-publish. You want extensive feedback for it, prompts, and somebody to find all inconsistancies.
I will read and re-read each chapter and do all that using tools like character sheets, timeline charts and copious notes compiled onto exel sheets.

Background
I am a well-versed reader of the romance genre, and I hold a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Creative Writing. I am also a writer myself, with six years’ experience of participating in writing workshops at the collegial and undergraduate levels. I have been published twice by Poet’s Choice and their associated publisher Free Spirit.
Visit my author page on their website:

I am bilingual and therefore able to work in both English and French.
Expertise
My area of expertise is in the genre of romance, which involves love stories that touch on lighthearted subjects, for the most part.
I cover multiple romance subgenres—including contemporary, paranormal (i.e. monster romance), historical, mystery, futuristic or fantasy—and all spice levels.
Requested Formatting
Please only use the file types of Microsoft Office Word or Google Docs.
In addition, these are my minimum formatting requirements for editing:
- Author name and project identifier (such as working title) in the file name. For example: Salena Sirois-Vallee_Blaming the Innocent.docx.
- 12-point font in Times New Roman
- Double spaced
- 2.54 cm (1 inch) margins
- Page numbers
- Table of contents
- Footnotes over endnotes preferably.
Please see the PDF example for guidance. I request this formatting in order to reach the best of my performance as an editor. These are just basic requirements. If you want your manuscript to be up to industry standards, here are some ressources.

For Microsoft word on desktop:
For alpha and beta reading, please, just identify the file at least by project title and I will most likely re-name the file to add the author name and tag it as a beta reading commented version and original manuscript. As long as the font is readable, pages have numbers and the chapters are set as headings, anything goes.
